Is there a guideline or licence to use a cleaning product?
You will probably have asked yourself whether you can just use the cleaning product you are using. You might think that you need a certain licence with the use of a cleaning product or that you have to follow guidelines.
The answer
Any doubts you may have can be dispelled by yourself, as you do not need a licence to use a cleaning product. Nor are there any special guidelines you need to take into account. Of course, you should always follow a product's instructions for use.
The reason
I can hear you thinking; “How is it that despite all the substances and chemicals, there are no strict regulations on the use of cleaning products?”. The fact is that while there are strict laws and regulations, they mainly apply to the manufacturer and not the consumer.
Laws and regulations
The manufacturer may only sell a cleaning product if it complies with guidelines applicable throughout Europe. If a manufacturer then wants to enter the Dutch market, the product must also comply with the laws, regulations and the Commodities Act from the Dutch government. For producers, it is not just one or two directives they have to comply with.
